Morocco, officially called the Kingdom of Morocco, is an exotic and romantic country found in the Maghred region of North Africa. Typically Morocco is characterized by rugged mountains and large portions of dry dessert, though littered with the thousand miracles of the Arab world: old cities, mosques, bazaars, palm tree gardens and sand dunes. It is only one of three countries (including France and Spain) to have both Atlantic and Mediterranean coastlines.

The incredible movie-famous city of Casablanca might be the most traveled to of Moroccan cities due to its vibrancy and modernist metropolis. It is home to the huge Hassan II mosque. This mosque is the second largest in the world with only the Gran Mosque of Mecca surpassing it. Casablanca is filled with outstanding colonial architecture, Hispano-Moorish and art-deco appeal.

When wanting a more traditional Moroccan experience, Marrakesh, known as the "Red City" will leave you with an unforgettable memory, while you explore the lively souqs, gaze at the old gates and defensive walls and see Saadian Tombs. Don't forget to visit the Koutoubia Mosque with its 12th century minaret. When the evening dawns, head back to Jamaa el-Fnaa which is the largest square in Africa which fills up with steam producing food stalls. There is plenty of bustling activity here with Arabic story tellers, magicians and Chleuh dancers. Once Morocco's capital, Fez, is another spectacular imperial city with narrow Medieval streets a huge medina and gorgeous city gates. Another must-see is the city of Meknes which is often called "The Versailles of Morocco" for its outstanding beauty and Spanish-Moorish style center which is surrounded by huge city walls and beautiful gates. Here, the 17th century blend of European and Islamic cultures thrives even today.

In Morocco you can spend the night in a desert tent, under the perfectly clear starred sky.
